By Train and Bus From Shinjuku, Tokyo to Kofu Station Train Time required: about 1 h 30 min by Azusa or Kaiji express train on  JR Chuo Line. Bus Time required: about 2 h 10 min from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal. From Nagoya to Kofu Station Train Time required (Shiojiri route): about 3 h 10 min by Shinano express train; transfer to Azusa express train at Shiojiri Station on JR Chuo Line. Time required (Shizuoka route): about 3 h 30 min by Hikari Super Express; transfer to Fujikawa express train at Shizuoka Station. Bus Time required: about 3 h from JR Expressway Bus terminal at Nagoya Station. From Kofu Station to Kofu Campus Bus Time required: about 5 min by bus of route No. 10, 11, or 12 for "Takeda Shrine" or "Sekisui-ji Temple"; board at the No. 2 bus stop at Kofu Station's north exit, and get off at "Yamanashi Daigaku" ("Yamanashi University") . On foot Time required: about 20 min; walk north from Kofu Station's north exit. From Kofu Station to Medical Campus Train / on foot Time required: about 20 min by JR Minobu line from Kofu Station; get off at Jōei Station and walk southeast (about 15 min).
